Please see grille installation below...

Is installing a grille difficult?
Installing a mesh or billet grille is not usually difficult at all especially if the grille is a bolt-on setup. All you need is basic knowledge of common tools. Easy step by step instructions along with all mounting hardware is included with every grille. If we feel that a certain grille is considerably more difficult to install than most we will note in the features section of the product "Professional Installation Recommended"

What are billet grilles made from?
Any grille worth buying must be tough enough to withstand the rigors of the road. Every billet grille we sell is manufactured only from sturdy, durable and premium materials. The most common material used to manufacture billet grilles is aluminum (called billet aluminum) a tough, sturdy, and resilient metal. Stainless steel is also commonly used for billet grilles (although mainly in mesh grilles) as it is remarkably strong and highly resistant to corrosion. Finally, ABS automotive grade plastic, a less popular material, but still a premium choice because it is completely rust-free and quite cost effective. Every grille throughout our website indicates which of these categories it falls into.

How do I clean my new billet grille?
You can clean your new billet grille the same way that you would your old one. A garden hose or a drive thru car wash will do just fine. However, you can provide added protection to your billet grille by periodically treating it with any brand of chrome cleaner/polisher that provides a protective coating.

What about my factory logo/emblem?
Most billet/mesh grilles will cover your factory logo. However, many are designed to leave an opening for your logo/emblem. Every grille will state in the description whether it has an opening for your OE logo. Also, some grilles come with a logo mounting plate so you can remove your OE logo and mount it on the mounting plate on top of your new grille or buy a new emblem from a dealer to mount. Chrysler emblems are available through UpYourRide.com with more brand selection to be added shortly. Please call us or email us if you have any questions or concerns about your factory logo.

Will my new billet grille prevent air from flowing into my engine compartment which helps the cooling process?
No. Every grille by every manufacturer is designed to allow enough air to flow to the engine compartment, even if your new grille has fewer openings then your OE grille. Every grille we sell is OEM Approved (meaning the manufacturers of the vehicle itself have approved the use of the grille on their vehicles.)

How do I know my new grille will fit my vehicle properly?
All of our grilles are custom-designed for a particular vehicle's year, make and model. Every single one has been carefully measured numerous times and then built using the latest cutting-edge manufacturing equipment. Every trim level and option packages are taken into account when designing a grille for a new vehicle. After the design process, every grille is installed on a dealer vehicle and photographed. If anything is out of whack, its back to the drawing board before production begins.

Grille Installation
How do I install my billet grille?
Billet grilles are installed a few different ways. First you need to determine which type of grille it is: insert, bolt-on, or replacement.

Insert grilles are relatively simple grilles to install. They require some modification to your grille, usually cutting it out with a dremel or jig saw. The new grille is then fastened in its place using the existing frame. This is very similar to the replacement grille.

Bolt-on grilles use hidden mounting hardware to attach your new grille "on top" of your factory grille. It basically bolts to your existing grille and its frame for support and yet hides your old grille completely. This is the easiest and fastest installation method available. This type of grille is sometimes referred to as an overlay as well.

Replacement grilles, as it sounds, completely replace your original grille. This installation type can require more time and tools than the bolt-on method, however the end result is a cleaner, more integrated look. Often, this type of installation requires some cutting and/or drilling. As long as you are even semi handy with tools this type of grille will be no problem for you.

How long does it take to install a grille?
Installation time depends on your type of grille. Bolt-on grilles usually install in around 20 minutes or less. A replacement/insert grille will usually take an hour or more due to the extra steps involved.

Every grille comes with complete step-by-step installation instructions. What's the difference between a billet grille and a mesh grille?
The two main differences between billet grilles and mesh grilles are style and material. Billet grilles exploded the auto accessories market in the early 90's and has become a classic favorite among many car enthusiasts. Made from high-grade T-5 or T6 billet aluminum, they are lightweight yet very durable. Being easy to install and giving consumers an instant makeover for the front of their vehicle. Soon after a new design was introduced called the mesh grille. Similar in many ways except they were made from 304 Stainless Steel (a bit heavier material but considerably more durable) and they were designed in a criss-cross mesh pattern rather than the horizontal bars of the billet grilles. Mesh grilles soon became more of a luxury grille and were elaborately designed for the higher priced vehicles on the market. Many billet grilles have been manufactured for those vehicles as well and it has mainly become a decision of taste for the consumer.

MESH GRILLES                                                         BILLET GRILLES
• 304 Stainless Steel                                                     • T-5 or T-6 Billet Aluminum
• Fine Weave Pattern                                                    • Horizontal Bars

Recently, there has been a crossing over between mesh grilles and billet grilles. S.E.S Trims is the first company to manufacture horizontal bar "billet" grilles using stainless steel bars rather than billet aluminum. This giving consumers the look of the billet grille with the trusted durablity of stainless steel.
